The lotus according to Hindu symbology represents purity and holiness, but do not be confused because it is not a Hindu temple. The building has an avant-garde style and is built with Macrana marble (Rajasthan), dolomite cement and sand. <strong>The temple has 27 petals that form the half-open flower and nine ponds or pools that symbolize the whole and unity.<\/strong>. In addition, these ponds provide a cooling system during the arduous New Delhi summers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Its central hall is 30 meters high and can accommodate up to 2,500 people.
